The men played away at Saltash. This was the first time on grass for some of us.
A final set tie break played as the sun sets.
The Saltash A pair were much too good for Chris and Steve, whilst Dave and Mark won easily against their B pair. In the second matches Chris and Steve got off to a slow start, not helped by a recurrence of a shoulder problem for Chris. However they picked up their game, maybe got used to the surface a bit, and scored some points with a 2 sets to zero win.
Meanwhile Mark and Dave were pushed to a tie breaker in the first set which they won. Sadly the second set went to Saltash and a close (10-8) tie breaker also went their way.
After all this the scores were very close, 48 Plymstock to 45 Saltash.
