On Thursday 2nd May the club’s team travelled to the South Devon Tennis centre to play against the Ivybridge ‘C’ team.
This was the first match of the new year and the good news is that we have some points. Our number one pair lost 2-0 to the Ivybridge first pair but won 2-0 against the Ivybridge second pair.
The number two pair didn’t fare so well but should be thanked anyway. We maintain our record of managing to field a side even when many players realise they are going to be outclassed.
Our first rusty rackets session happened on the 23rd April and, we think, went very well. Many thanks to all who turned up and we hope you had a good time. Also we hope to see you again !
We have decided we will do it each Tuesday for the summer. So if you fancy starting or improving your tennis, just turn up. All equipment provided. £2.50 per session. Starting at 6pm. (Worry not if you don’t get there exactly on time). Finishing about 8pm.
The club has a men’s team which competes in Plymouth and District division 3.

March 31st …
Now that the clocks have gone forward, Wednesday tennis will now move to the summer routine, with club play in the evening (officially from 5pm) instead of the previous winter afternoon regime, from 1.30pm.
And thanks to all who came on Saturday and, with Jess’s organisation, helped with the spring clean.
Best wishes
Dudley
